USEPA has also developed a geographic information
site on the Internet where consumers can get informa-
tion about drinking water, including their local drink-
ing water supply. Visit http://www.epa.gov/safewater/
dwinfo.htm to find links to Consumer Confidence
Reports, state drinking water pages, including source
water assessment program plans, violations data for
individual water systems, and other data which EPA
will use to help in setting future standards (including
occurrence of regulated and currently unregulated
contaminants, as well as microbes and disinfection
byproducts).
USEPA's Safewater Web Site
http://www.epa.gov/safewater can provide you with
more information on the Safe Drinking Water Act, on
individual water systems, on contaminants that could
occur in drinking water, and on actions you can take
to help protect the sources of your drinking water.
USEPA's Safe Drinking Water Hotline
1-800-426-4791 or 1-877-EPA-WATER
can answer questions about drinking water and provide
referrals for more information. The Hotline can also tell
you whom to contact in your state, give you a list of
upcoming EPA public meetings and documents open for
comment, and can take your orders for EPA publica-
tions. You can also submit questions to the Hotline by
sending an e-mail to hotline-sdwa@epa.gov
