Third International Conference on the Analytic Element Method in Modeling Groundwater Flow Brainerd, Minnesota April 17,18 and 19, 2000 Sponsors: • U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, ! Office of Research and Development « Department of Civil Engineering, University of Minnesota • Barr Engineering « Minnesota Pollution Control Agency • Strack Consulting, Inc. ------- Third International Conference on the Analytic Element Method in Modeling Groundwater Flow Brainerd, Minnesota April 17,18 and 19,2000 The topic of the conference is the application of analytic techniques in the field of groundwater flow, with emphasis on the analytic element method. Development of the analytic element method began 25 years ago and has continued ever since; the method is now maturing into a powerful tool. The analytic element method is particularly suitable for contaminant transport, well-head protection, and large-scale regional modeling. Participants of the two previous conferences agree that the quality of presentations and' papers was exceptionally high; we expect the- same for the next conference. Presentations are invited on recent developments and applications of the analytic element method, as well as on other analytic techniques for modelingj groundwater flow. , ' The following web site: http://www.ce.umn.edu/AEMGroundwater contains information concerning both th^s analytic element method and the conference; You will find further information on this web site regarding the format of the conference registration, and deadlines. Please submit youi abstracts and register for the conference via tN web site, if possible.
