------- How To Use . . . This brochure is a guide to the procedures used by the Environmental Protection Agency to evaluate and issue national approval of measurement methods to be used in the regulatory programs administered by the Agency. The guide is designed to help the user expeditiously identify the organization and individual within EPA to contact to obtain timely review of a new method. Since regulatory programs are often known by.different names (e.g., CERCLA, Superfund, Contract Laboratory Program), the user should first refer to the Regulatory Program Index and the Table of Contents on the inside of the back cover to identify the correct section of this brochure to refer to. Those characteristics of the regulatory approval process that are common to a number of programs are described in Appendix A. A glossary of abbreviations used in this brochure is presented in Appendix B. ------- ------- Monitoring Program Air Quality Applicable Regulations Applications Submitted To 40 CFR 50; 40 CFR 53 Director, AREAL (MD-75) U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Research Triangle Park, NC 27711 "A Key Contacts Technical Regulatory Ambient) Frank McElroy, AREAL (919) 541-2622 Source) Gilbert Wood OAQPS (919) 541-5544 Ambient) Frank McElroy, AREAL (919) 541-2622 Source) Gilbert Wood OAQPS (919) 541-5544 Approximate Processing Time 6 months ------- Drinking Water 40 CFR 141.21, 22,23,24, 25,27,30,40,74, 89 4- , Director, EMSL U.S. Environmental Protection Agency 26 W.
