ACCESS Express, a quick reference guide to major EPA information
contacts, was developed as a pocket guide for convenient access to EPA
information sendees throughout the country.
The sections on EPA Clearinghouses and Dockets are organized by
primary environmental topics. The Records, Libraries, Public
Information Contacts section is organized by EPA office location, and
includes contacts at EPA Headquarters, Regional Offices, Laboratories,
and Field Offices. Many of the information resources listed are
contractor-operated.
ACCESS Express is a brief version of ACCESS EPA, a comprehensive
directory to major information services and collections of EPA and
other public sector organizations. ACCESS EPA includes major EPA
databases, EPA scientific models, and State Environmental Libraries.
For each contact point, ACCESS EPA provides descriptions of sendees
and products and is enhanced with a detailed name, title, and subject
index. Ordering information for ACCESS EPA is on the inside back
cover.
ACCESS Express is available at no charge while supplies last from EPA's

programs and environmental issues to children and adults from all
over the world. There are also pamphlets and factsheets for further
information. The Center, at.EPA Headquarters, 401 M Street, SW,
Washington, DC 20460, is at the Metro's Green Line Waterfront
station and is open from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm on Federal workdays.

Clearinghouses and Hotlines
Clearinghouses act as central access points for hard-to-locate technical
reports and documents. Many use hotlines and bulletin boards to
provide convenient access for remote users.
