 — On April 10,1995
   EPA announced six new voluntary
pollution prevention programs with over 100
participants. Together with Green Lights,
AgStar, Energy Star Computers, Natural Gas Star,
and EPA's other flagship voluntary pollution
prevention programs, the new programs are
expected to produce a $37 billion dollar profit for
the economy, reduce carbon dioxide emissions from
utility plants and other sources by a total of 215
million metric tons, and achieve a significant
reduction of other air pollutants such as nitrogen
oxides and toxic air pollutants.
