The Workshop on Inorganic Contaminant Issues
is sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency's National Risk Management Research
Laboratory, Office of Research Development and
the Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water,
Office of Water.
PURPOSE
The workshop will provide participants with
information on issues and research applications
related to inorganic contaminants in drinking
water and distribution systems. The workshop
intends to address arsenic, radionuclides,
fluoride, nitrate, lead, copper, iron and
manganese.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The workshop is open to state drinking water
staff, consultants, water utility personnel and
others having an interest on issues and research
applications related to inorganic contaminants in
drinking water and distribution systems.
TOPICS
Topics of discussion will include accumulation of
contaminants and nitrification in the distribution
system, innovative treatment of contaminants,
and simultaneous compliance case studies.
