The EPA Office of Wastewater Management has recently expanded its "Handbook for Managing Onsite and Clustered (Decentralized) Wastewater Treatment Systems" with the addition of an "E-Handbook." The E-Handbook features resource guides containing detailed information on the 13 management program elements featured in the existing Handbook: > Public education I Planning I Performance I Site evaluation I Design I Construction/installation I Operation/maintenance I Inspections/monitoring I Residuals management I Training/certification I Financial assistance I Inventory/recordkeeping ) Corrective actions and enforcement The E-Handbook focuses on individual and clustered wastewater systems that discharge to the soil, but the information can also be applied to National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System-permitted surface- discharging systems. The handbook is intended for health departments, wastewater management entities, local governments, and others involved in managing multiple individual or clustered treatment systems. Each guide contains detailed information on each program element and links to other resources, case studies, and examples of successful management programs. &EPA EPA832-F-10-001 Handbook for Managing | Onsite and Clustered (Decentralized) / Wastewater Treatment Systems An introduction to Management Tools and Information for Implementing EPA's Management Guidelines DC c < DO ._ ,ir qj -7 ** S oo 2 £ S S o t± ^ c £- 2 S aj QJ IT" *^- TO L^l ^- TO *- ra ^ "P O > c O § 2 "5 £ BO I I S o 1 ^, S £ ° 3 Q O ?!
