Public pressure following the hazardous waste
incident at Love Canal, in 1978, forced the enactment
of legislation to search for and clean up hazardous
waste spills and dumpsites. This legislation, the
Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation
and Liability Act of 1980 is also known as "Superfund.1
This bibliography was prepared to assist users
in locating information on "Superfund." It contains
references to some of the most recent information
available, obtained from the following abstracts and
indexes: NTIS, Environment Abstracts, Hazardous Waste
Report, Environmental Periodicals Bibliography,
Pollution Abstracts, Environment Reporter (SNA), and
Reader's Guide to Periodical Literature.
