Financial Assistance Identification Number consists of three
Serial Number (formerly Ref No 01-A) - A six position number which
identifies a specific financial assistance application or agree-
ment .
Sequence Number (formerly Ref No 54-A) - A two position number
which identifies either a specific project within a Mastewater
Treatment Construction grant or a specific project period or
budget period in all other financial assistance programs.
Amendment Designator (formerly Ref No 03-A) - A one position code
containing either a preapplication designator (*) or an identifi-
cation code (0-9, A-Z) of an amendment to a financial assistance
reement or to a project within a Wastewater Treatment Construe-
on grant.

pursuant to CFR 35.2015.

ant to CFR 35.2015.
C - Project on contingency portion of the planning portion of a State
Project Priority List. The project may be awarded due to bypass
provisions or due to additional funds becoming available. To
qualify for the category* it must have been presented at a public
hearing on this basis.

N - Projects on a State Project Priority List to receive assistance in
the future through a State Revolving Fund.
