K. DATABASES
ATTIC
The Alternative Treatment Technology Information Center
is a Comprehensive automated information retrieval
system that integrates existing hazardous waste data
sources into a unified, searchable resource. This system
provides access to a wide variety of technical information
sources at one location. The system includes information
on alternative treatment technologies, including
international reports, bench and pilot scale data, and
industrial applications. The Center provides searches of
ATTIC resident databases, comprehensive searches of
other on-line databases, and technical evaluations of
collected data. The system operator can be reached at
(301) 816-9153.
Hazardous Waste Data Collection
The Hazardous Waste Data Collection is a special EPA
Headquarters Library Collection on the subject of
hazardous waste. It is designed to better meet the
information needs of EPA staff by making key documents
No
Mo
and services more readily available through the EPA
Library Network. The database is a bibliographic
database with each item in the collection corresponding to
a record in the database. The EPA Headquarters Library
in Washington maintains the collection and the contents
of the database. For more information, contact Felice
Sacks, Headquarters Library, (202) 382-5922.
Tech Trends Newsletter
The Tech Trends newsletter is an intermittent publication
serving as a regular journal for applied technologies for
Superfund removals and remedial actions and for RCRA
corrective actions. Tech Trends seeks to bring current
information on hazardous waste treatment innovations to
regional staff, their state and local counterparts, and their
contractors For more information, contact Mary
Moorcones of the Headquarters Technology Innovation
