INTRODUCTION
This directory is a catalogue of the professional
personnel at the State level who are responsible for
environmental control and monitoring programs in the areas
of air, water quality.- water supply, solid waste management,
pesticides, radiation and noise. The listings, which are
made by State, include the name of the State Health Officer
and other program heads with the pertinent addresses, tele-
phone numbers and office hours. Where telephone numbers
are not given initial contact should be made through the
State Health Officer. Complete addresses are given only
for the State Health Officer; the remaining individuals
are identified by title, with addresses given only in the
case where it is different from the officer's address.
The directory is a compilation of information from
the several sources listed on the following page and
represents the most recent data available. Data for the
noise category is in the process of being updated and upon
completion in early 1974 should reveal more State noise
control officials than shown in the present data. Under
the radiation category, those individuals who are members
of the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors
are indicated by an asterisk(*).
As program and program administrators are in a
continuous state of change, information concerning ad-
ditions and/or corrections to this directory would be
appreciated.
