C. 20460 ------- Grant Highlights $122 MILLION FUNDED IN JULY 45 STATES AND PUERTO RICO AWARDED STATE MANAGEMENT ASSISTANCE GRANTS 46 STATES/TERRITORIES HAVE WOMP GRANTS EPA AWARDED 17 STATES RCRA/SUPERFUND GRANTS EPA approved 323 grants totaling $122.1 million in July. Total grant dollars awarded through July of FY 83 increased $1.5 billion when compared to the same period of FY 82. ($2.3 billion compared to SO.8 million). (p. 7.) Since April 1980, EPA awarded State Management Assistance grants totaling $380 million to 45 states and one territory (Puerto Rico). These grants provide funds for states to employ staff to administer segments of the WWT Construction Grants program delegated to them by EPA. (p. 19.) Since October 1981, EPA awarded 46 States and/or Territories $23.2 million for Water Quality Management Planning in accordance with Section 205 (j) of the Clean Water Act. (p.21.) Since July, EPA awarded 17 states superfund awards for State Inventory programs as authorized under Sec. 3012 of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.
