AWARDS
EPA approved 157 grants totaling $48.6
million in April. Total grant dolllars
awarded through April of FY84 decreased
$0.2 billion ($1.2 billion compared to
$1.4 billion) during the same period of
FY83. (p. 6 -)
Since April 1980, EPA awarded State
Management Assistance grants totaling
$438 million to 49 states and one
territory (Puerto Rico). These grants
provide funds for states to employ
staff to administer segments of the WWT
Construction Grants program delegated
to them by EPA. (p. 18 .)

states and/or Territories $35.2 milli
for Water Quality Management Planning
in accordance with Section 205 (j) of
the Clean Water Act. (p. 19 .)

under Sec. 3012 of the Resource Conser-
vation and Recovery Act. (p. 23 .)
