The Illinois Department of Energy and Natural Resources (DEUR) is responsible for
conducting research and State environmental impact studies. DENR maintains two
offices:
100 W. Randolph Suite 11-600
Chicago, IL 60601
(312) 971-3870
325 W. Adams Street
Springfield, IL 62704
(217) 785-3411
The seven-person, governor-appointed Illinois Pollution Control Board (IPCB) hears
enforcement cases. On the recommendation of IEPA, these cases are filed through the
Office of the Illinois Attorney General, which then files with the IPCB. The IPCB
also publishes a free weekly newsletter, The Environmental Register, which lists all
hearings and proposed rules and regulations on environmental matters in Illinois.

Colleges/Universities
Most of the 143 colleges and universities in Illinois nave environmental
programs, in various academic departments. By getting in touch with a
local college or university it should be possible to track down
information that you may need.
We list the University of Illinois, which has a number of departments
related to the environment, because it is the State's land-grant
college. It is the center of Illinois' Cooperative Extension Service,
whose experts on a number of environmental matters including pesticides
are found in every county of the State. To find the advisor nearest
you, consult your telephone directory.

in various academic departments. By getting in touch with a local college or
university it should be possible to track down information that you may need.
We list Purdue University, which has a number of departments related to the
environment, because it is the State's land-grant college. It is the center of
Indiana's Cooperative Extension Service, whose experts on a number of
environmental matters including pesticides are found in every county of the
State. To find the advisor nearest you, consult your telephone directory.

Colleges/Qniversities
Most of the colleges and universities in Michigan have environmental programs, in
various academic departments. By getting in touch with a local college or
university it should be possible to track down information that you may need.
We list Michigan State University, which has a number of departments related to
the environment, because it is the State's land-grant college. As such, it is
the center of Michigan's Cooperative Extension Service, whose experts on a number
of environmental matters including pesticides are found in every county of the
State.
We also list the University of Michigan, which also plays a major role in
environmental studies, because it is affiliated with the U.S. Dept. of Commerce's
State Sea Grant Program. In the Great Lakes region, these programs concentrate
on water safety, fisheries, toxic substances, and wetland resources. Each
includes advisory agents for public education and information.

Colleges/Universities
Most of the colleges and universities in Minnesota have environmental programs,
in various academic departments. By getting in touch with a local college or
university it should be possible to track down information that you may need.
We list the University of Minnesota, which has a number of departments related to
the environment, because it is the State's land-grant college. As such it is the
center of Minnesota's Cooperative Extension Service, whose experts on a number of
environmental matters including pesticides are found in every county of the
State.
We also list it as an affiliate of the U.S. Department of Commerce's State Sea
Grant Program. In the Great Lakes region, these programs concentrate on water
safety, fisheries, toxic substances, and wetland resources. Each includes
advisory agents for public education and information.

Most of the 58 colleges and universities in Wisconsin have environmental
programs in various academic departments. By getting in touch with a local
college or university it should be possible to track down information that you
may need.
We list the University of Wisconsin, which has a number of departments related to
the environment, because it is the State's land grant college. As such it is the
center of Wisconsin's Cooperative Extension Service, whose experts on a number of
environmental matters including pesticides are found in every county of the
State. To find the advisor nearest you, consult your telephone directory.
We also list it as an affiliate of the U.S. Department of Commerce's State Sea
Grant Program. In the Great Lakes region, these programs concentrate on water
safety, fisheries, toxic substances, and wetland resources. Each include advisor
agents for public education and information.
