Toxic Substances Control Act
Section 12fb)
Export Notification
Under section 12(b) of the Toxic Substances Control Act
(TSCA), exporters must notify the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency if they export or intend to export a chemical substance or
mixture:
- for which submission of data is required under section 4
or 5(b) ;
- for which an order has been issued under section 5;
- for which a rule has been proposed or promulgated under ..
section 5 or 6;
- or with respect to which an action is pending or relief
has been granted under section 5 or 7;
Following is a listing of chemicals that trigger 12(b)
export notification. Chemicals are identified by Chemical
Abstracts Service Registry (CAS) numbers or Premanufacture Notice
(PMN) numbers. (PMN numbers are preceded by the letter P.) The
listing also includes appropriate citations from the Federal
Register and Code of Federal Regulations. Chemicals subject to
section 5(e) of TSCA-: are listed separately.
NOTE: This document is intended to be an information
resource. It may contain errors/ omissions/ etc./ and therefore
should not be used in lieu of the Federal Register or Code of
Federal Regulations for purposes of compliance. Updates will be
