FROM: Henry L. Longest II, Director
Office of Emergency and Remedia
TO: OERR Headquarters Staff
I am pleased t.o send each of you a copy of the final FY-89
OERR Strategic Management Plan which was developed as a result of
the work done at last December's management retreat at The Woods
in Hedgesville, West Virginia.,
Tliis version includes each Division's final integration of
proposals made at that time, and will form the foundation of
OERR's work for the balance of FY-89 .and the basis of planning for
FY-90 and reauthorization.
Program managers and staffs .should consider utilizing the
plan to build future performance standards around the goals,
objectives and tasks listed in the plan. For this reason, it is
important that managers encourage their professional staffs to
become familiar with the document.
T want to express my appreciation to all of the staff whose
participation resul'ted in this important accomplishment.
