LIGHT HYDROCARBON DATA AT GROUND LEVEL
This section provides a listing of individual light hydrocarbon
concentrations measured at the two ground sites. The trailer site refers
to samples collected near our mobile laboratory at Avery Point, while the
inland site was to the northwest of Groton near the Devils Hopyard State
Park (see Figure 1).
NOTES ON TABLES:
All light hydrocarbon concentrations are reported as iag/m3.
* = less than 0.5 pg/m3 (0.8 ppb C)
Blank space = no data, either because the value obtained was
questionable or the measurement was not made.
Times are Eastern Daylight Time.

AIRCRAFT FLIGHT DATA
Three basic types of information are contained in this section.
1) A map for each flight showing the route followed, ozone
concentrations (ppb) at selected points along the route,
vertical sounding locations, and bag and can sample
collection points.
2) Plot of ozone concentration and temperature vs. altitude
for all aircraft vertical soundings.
3) Composite plots showing changes in altitude, CN counts, visual
range, relative humidity and ozone concentration vs. time (and
distance) along the flight path.
The data is arranged by flight with flights numbered consecutively
beginning on July 15. All times reported refer to Eastern Daylight Time.

AIRCRAFT COLLECTED HYDROCARBON, HALOCARBON AND NO DATA
/\
Light hydrocarbon, halocarbon and NO concentrations in aircraft
/\
collected samples are listed in this section. The data is reported on
a daily basis beginning with the first flight—July 15. Reference should
be made to the flight maps in the previous section for the exact sample
collection point.
NOTES ON TABLES:
Light hydrocarbon concentrations are reported as yg/m3.
* = less than 0.5 yg/m3 (0.8 ppb C).
Blank space = no data, either because the value obtained was
questionable or the measurement was not made.
Times are Eastern Daylight Time.

16. ABSTRACT
During the months of July and August, 1975, a comprehensive air pollution
field monitoring program was conducted in southern New England. Participants
in the program included research groups from Washington State University,
Battelle Columbus Laboratories, EPA-Research Triangle Park, EPA-Las Vegas and
EPA-Region I. Oxidants, hydrocarbons, oxides of nitrogen and other gaseous
pollutant species were measured at several ground stations in Connecticut
and Massachusetts. The use of three instrumented aircraft provided information
concerning vertical dispersion and transport of pollutants.
This report provides a tabulation of data collected by Washington State
University. It includes surface data from a field laboratory near Groton,
Connecticut, plus vertical pollutant information obtained during daily aircraft
sampling missions.
