Come in and browse the Library's newest addition to the CD-ROM
collection: ENVIRO/ENERGYLINE ABSTRACTS. This database contains
citations and summaries of articles from sci-tech journals, conference
proceedings, and government and corporate reports on environmental issues,
including acid rain and energy information. Ask at the reference desk for a
demonstration or test drive it yourself.
PLEASE, MR. POSTMAN...

During the holiday season, increased mail volume may delay the
delivery of library materials borrowed through interlibrary loan. Some of
our interlibrary loan partners shut down operations during this time of year,
which will also delay delivery. Please contact Carol Bechtel, Interlibrary
Loan Librarian, if you have a rush request. Her number is 202-260-5060.
Library staff will do everything possible to obtain your materials promptly.

                         ONLINE LIBRARY SYSTEM (OLS)

The Online Library System (OLS) is a computerized list of items accessible through the EPA
library network. Books and reports are available on a variety of topics:

Air Quality Global Issues Hazardous Waste
                 Health Effects Laboratory Methods
Pollution Prevention Toxic Substances Water Pollution

                                OLS DATABASES

OLS consists of several related databases that can be used to locate books and reports
on a variety of topics. The material in OLS is updated every two weeks, and can be
searched by numerous access points, such as title, author, and keyword.

National Catalog Citations and summaries on environmentally related topics
encompassing biology, chemistry, ecology and other basic
sciences; EPA reports distributed through the National
                             Technical Information Service.
Hazardous Waste Citations and summaries for key materials on hazardous
                             waste.
