Under the law you are responsible for the safety
of employees working with or near pesticides.
Here are suggestions to help you.
Pesticide applicator certification
will be required by October, 1977-
or sooner under some State laws.

See that label
directions are
understood and
followed.
Post warning signs
at entrances to
treated fields
or inform workers
about the dangers.
If workers don't
understand English
use a language
they do understand
Keep stored pesti-
cides locked up.
Dispose of pesti-
cide containers
properly. Follow
label instructions
or consult your
county agent.
Encourage
Workers
to:
Wash thoroughly
before eating or smoking.
Wash or shower after working in sprayed fields.
Wash immediately if pesticides touch their skin.
Wash work clothes worn
treated fields separately
from the family wash.

label so he knows what to do.
