your area, call the State's environmental emergency number on this page.
If you have a more routine complaint about pollution, the place to begin is your

department. If your toon doesn't have one, you should contact the county's.
These local units may handle the complaint themselves or refer you to your State 's
environmental agency. Some local pollution control agencies are listed on the
following pages. Others can be located in the telephone directory, under "City
Offices" or "County Offices."

MINNESOTA
Important Numbers
If an immediate health hazard exists from a pollution problem or an accident in
your area, call the State's environmental emergency number on this page.
If you have a more routine complaint about pollution, the place to begin is your
local pollution control agency, euch as your toon or city 's environmental control
department. If your toon doesn't have one, you should contact the county's.
These local units may handle the complaint themselves or refer you to your State 's
environmental agency. Some local pollution control agencies are listed on the
following pages. Others can be located in the telephone directory, under "City
Offices" or "County Offices."
Except for those in the box, the numbers below are primarily for information.

Important Numbers
If an immediate health hazard exists from a pollution problem or an accident in
your area, call the Ohio EPA's toll-free number during business hours, or the
Coast-Guard's Emergency Response Center when Ohio EPA is closed.
If you have a more routine complaint about pollution, the place to begin is your
local pollution control agency, such as your town or city's environmental control
department. If your town doesn't have one, you should contact the county's.
These local units may handle the complaint themselves or refer you to your State's
environmental agency. Some local pollution control agencies are listed on the
following pages. Others can be located in the telephone directory, under "City
nffi.mta" nn "fmirt^i nffij-aa "

Planning Agencies
Planning agencies marked "MPO" are
Metropolitan Planning Organisations
that receive Federal funds to develop
transportation plans to improve local
air quality. Congress has budgeted
$50 million for this purpose under
Section 175 of the Clean Air Act
Amendments of 1977. MPOs are re-
quired by law to provide adequate
citizen participation in the plans
they formulate and implement.
Agencies designated "208" are local
planning agencies given Federal funds
to prepare clean water plans for a
given area, under Section 208 of the
Clean Voter Act. They are required
by law to provide adequate opportunity
for citizens to participate in
formulating and implementing these plans.

Important Numbers
If an immediate health hazard exists from a pollution problem or an accident in
your area, call the State's environmental emergency number on this page.
If you have a more routine complaint about pollution, the place to begin is your
local pollution control agency, such as your town or city's environmental control
department. If your town doesn't have one, you should contact the county's.
These local units may handle the complaint themselves or refer you to your State 's
environmental agency. Some local pollution control agencies are listed on the
following pages. Others can be located in the telephone directory, under "City
Offices" or "County Offices. "
Except for those in the box, the numbers below are primarily for information.
