 INTRODUCTION
Compatibility • ISDN voice terminals are not compatible with most other
commercial or residential telephone sytems and may not operate outside
of EPA Headquarters locations. Likewise, most other commercial or
residential telephone systems are not compatible with ISDN voice
terminals and may not operate within EPA Headquarters locations.

Telephone System Constraints • Certain ISDN functions, such as
ransferring calls, forwarding calls, and placing Automatic Callback calls.
may be performed only within your local telephone system. There are two
telephone systems serving EPA Headquarters locations: one serves
Waterside Mall, the Fairchild building, the Weststory building, Crystal
Station 1. Crystal Mall 2. and the Beltsville Agriculture Research Center
[he second system serves Judiciary Square, the Rosslyn building, and
Crystal Gateway.

Servlie Safeguards - To avoid ISDN service interruptions and prevent
damage to ISDN equipment, follow these measures:
• Never unplug your ISDN voice terminal from the ISDN telephone jack.
• Never plug a different telephone or ISDN volca terminal (other than
the one originally assigned to your telephone Jack) Into your ISDN
  telephone jack.
• Never plug any accessory Into your ISDN volca terminal.
• Never plug your ISDN handset Into any lack other than the handset
  lack.
Hints for Using This Manual • Throughout this manual, instructions
are accompanied by a diagram of the ISDN 7506 voice terminal. Step
numbers in the instructions correspond to numbers in the diagram
that point to a part of the 7506 terminal. If instructions are different
for the 7507 terminal, these differences are specified.

Also, most of the functions described in this manual involve lifting the
handset. Since the ISDN voice terminals are equipped with speaker-
phone capability, you may press the C«V«*ftf button instead of lifting
the handset wherever the instructions so indicate.
   Additional Information
Not all features described in this manual are available on
all ISDN voice terminals. For additional information,
please contact your Customer Service Representative at
the Washington'• information Center (WiC), or
