TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER PROGRAM Presents a Seminar Monitoring Industrial Wastewater March 20, 1975 Pick-Congress Hotel Chicago, Illinois ------- The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency Office of Technology Transfer is presenting a one-day seminar to provide manufacturers in EPA Region V with up- to-date information on regulatory policies and basic technical guidance related to monitoring of their wastewater. The seminar will be conducted in two sessions. The first session, covering the regulatory program, will discuss the re- quirements for self - monitoring of dis- charges as is required under the Federal Water Pollution Control Act Amendments of 1972. The intentions of the Federal Government and the relationship between the States and the Federal Government will be explained. Representatives from each state in EPA Region V will be present to answer questions relating to their policy. The second session will be devoted to providing technical guidance for manufac- turers implementing a monitoring program. Sampling, flow measurement, analytical quality control and in-process monitoring will be discussed by consultants experi- enced in each subject.
