                Public Access to Environmental Information
               Through EPA's Public Information Center (PIC)
     NEW PIC TO OPEN ON EARTH DAY!
  The new Public Information Center (PIC), which is now
under construction in the former National Bank of Washington
space, will officially open on Earth Day, April 22.  A grand
opening ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring Administrator
William K. Reilly is scheduled. The festivities will include tours
of the new PIC, Earth Day commemorations, and more.
  All  EPA personnel will be invited to attend the PIC grand
opening. Come and help celebrate Earth Day 1992!
Invitations will be distributed in April to all Headquarters
personnel.  If you have any questions or comments, please

The new Public Information Center
has several special features and swvices
available to the public and the Agency:
Theater A classroom-size theater,
where films, slide shows, and
multimedia programs on
various topics will be shown
to public groups.
Exhibits Informative displays about
EPA programs. As a primary
Agency showcase, PlC
coordinates with offices
throughout EPA to present a
broad overview of EPA ’S
goals and activities.
Computer workstations are
available for public use,
affording visitors access to a
variety of environmental
databases. Information about
pesticides, toxic substances,
and more is available at the
pu8h ot a button.
Tours Groups interested in visiting
the Public Information Center
are encouraged to notify P1C
in advance of their visit.
PlC is linked to a range of
program offices and Agency
information centers, and
refers callers to the most
appropriate source for EPA
information.
