The Hotline staff responded to 2,403 calls in July.\ Approximately
75.4% of the callers requested information on trie RCRA or CERCLA regulations
and 24.6% asked general regulatory questions or requested publications. Technical
questions on RCRA totaled 1,515 and technical questions -jon \CERCLA totaled 261.
Most Frequently Asked Questions
Callers in July focused on questions regarding submittal of the annual report
(250 inquiries) and requests for copies of the land disposal regulations.
Resolution of Difficult Questions
Question: Is the August 1st requirement for submittal of the annual report
to the Regional Administrator still in effect?*
Resolution: The Hotline staff has been referring to donn -Skinner's statement
which he made at the July 22nd public meeting on permitting to answer
questions regarding compliance with the August' 1st. deadline for
submittal of annual" reports. At that meeting, Dr. Skinner stated
that jntil 0MB approved federal annual report forms, generators and
and facility owners/operators would not be required to meet federal
annual reporting requirements in unauthorized States.
Question: How far off-shore does U.S. jurisdiction extend whenv$«nsidenng the
reporting requirements of Section 103(a) ofv..££&ClA for vessels and o£f
shore facilities?
