Jack. Here is an update on where we are with the Oak Ridge K-25 project Andrew Freeman, MD University of Cincinnati ------- 08/14/98 08:13 FAX 5135586272 OCC ENV MED @002 Scope of Work Drs. Richard Bird, Andrew Freeman, and James Lockey This report outlines the scope of work to be completed by Drs. Bird, Freeman, and Lockey in their evaluations of the health conditions and concerns of the 53 current and former workers from the K-25 facility in Oak Ridge. Currently, we have completed the Interim Medical Reports for each worker in the group we are evaluating. These reports detail the worker's medical history, occupational and exposure history, and test results. In addition, these reports contain specific medical diagnostic and treatment recommendations for both work-related and non-work-related health conditions. Recommendations which may assist in the treatment or diagnosis of potentially work-related health conditions have been specially designated in these reports. As each worker receives their Interim Medical Report, they will share it with their primary care provider, who will coordinate the recommended testing, treatment, and specialist referrals. In some cases, a laboratory specializing in a certain type of testing has been designated, and the appropriate laboratory requisition forms, instruction sheets, and lab personnel contact numbers have been included in the Interim Medical reports. We are asking that the medical information be forwarded as it is obtained from the I primary care providers to the three of us. We will compile and analyze this information, and we will then incorporate this information into the Final Medical Reports for each ------- 08/14/98 08:13 FAX 5135586272 OCC ENV MED @003 recommendations for each worker and they will contain our medical opinions pertaining to work-relatedness of the each of the worker's health conditions.
