subject Directory of Water Quality Management Designated
State and Ip^al Agencies

from waiter Gro^zvk, Deputy Director
Water Planning Division
T0 All Regional Water Division Directors
ATTN: All Regional 208 Coordinators
Information Memorandum: INFO- 77- 152
The Water Planning Division has prepared this Directory to facilitate
the exchange of information about water quality mangement.
This year the Directory is in the convenient new form of a loose
leaf binder that can be easily updated as personnel, addresses and
information change.
The Directory's appendix also includes draft plan completion dates
and problem areas of the various planning agencies. An alphabetical
table of contents listing the State and areawide agencies also appears.
Although every effort was made to avoid errors, some inevitably slip
by. Consequently, we would encourage your corrections. Comments,
corrections or suggestions should be addressed to Dan Burrows, Program
Management Branch, Water Planning Division (WH/554), United States
Environmental Protection Agency, Washington, D.C. 20460 (202-755-2117
or FTS 755-2117). As your corrections are received, updated pages
will be distributed.

thumb index:
REGION
HOW TO USE YOUR DIRECTORY
Agency addresses are listed under the State in which they are
located, and States are listed alphabetically within the ten Federal
Regions. A map is displayed with each State indicating areas under-
going areawide water quality management planning. The agency listing
presents the State water quality management agency first, followed by
the States contacts. Local agencies are indented five spaces and are
generally listed in order of designation. To the right of the agency
address is the date and amount of the grant award and counties included
in the planning.
We have provided a thumb index to facilitate finding the Regions,
a table of contents alphabetized by State, a general table of contents
and an agency table of contents.
THUMB INDEX: to use the thumb index,
bend pamphlet back with your right
hand and find the black bar that lines
up with the symbol of the Region you
are seeking.
