Disposal of Mercury and Mercury-containing Devices

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency encourages schools to proactively remove
mercury and mercury-containing devices from their classrooms and facilities before
products break and release elemental mercury. Several resources are available to assist
your school in removing mercury-containing devices and replacing them with mercury-
free alternatives.
