Cleanup Grant \2oo5Jl
$200,000 for hazardous substances
EPA has selected the City of Lewiston for a
brownfields cleanup grant. Grant funds will be
used for cleanup activities, including removal and
off-site disposal of soil, flooring, and other
materials, at the W.S. Libbey Mill site at 6 Mill
Street. Over the mill's 220-year operating history,
a variety of industrial processes contributed to the
contamination at the site.
