Do you and your students have an innovative idea for a solution that
protects the environment while growing the economy? The Environ-
mental Protection Agency (EPA) would like to help you and your stu-
dents turn this idea into reality through its P3 (People, Prosperity, and
  the Planet) grants program.

Submit your idea to the P3 competition, and if your idea is selected,
you and your students will receive a $10,000 grant and then have the
academic year to address a challenge to sustainability with your inno-
vative solution. Several P3 winners have already taken their innova-
tions to new levels - including starting successful businesses, win-
ning additional awards, and providing help to developing countries.

The request for ideas will be open from August 21 - December 21,
2006. This is your chance to create an interdisciplinary team that can
work to solve sustainability challenges in the United States and
around the world. It also gives you the opportunity to compete with
other student teams across the nation for EPA's P3 Award, an award
that includes additional funding up to $75,000 to further develop your
design, implement your project in the field, and move it to the mar-
  ketplace.

Don't miss this opportunity to benefit People, promote Prosperity,
  and protect the Planet.
