Chances are someone you know lives in a house with lead paint.
Most homes built before 1978 have it. Why should you be concerned? When people swallow
or breathe in lead dust, they can become lead poisoned. Lead is especially dangerous for
children — it can cause serious learning and behavioral problems. Lead is also harmful to
   adults, especially pregnant women.

   > Get your children tested if you think your home or apartment has high levels of lead!
   > Remove lead properly when renovating or remodeling!
