U.S. EPA's Technical
Support Project
The U.S. EPA established the
Technical Support Project (TSP)
in 1987 to provide technical
assistance to Regional
Remedial Project Managers,
Corrective Action Staff, and
On-Scene Coordinators.
The TSP consists of a network
of Regional Forums, like the
Ground Water Forum, and
specialized Technical Support
Centers located in the Office of
Research and Development
(ORD), the Office of Radiation
Programs (ORP) laboratories,
and the Office of Solid Waste
and Emergency Response's
(OSWER) Environmental
Response Team.

WHAT WE CAN DO FOR YOU
The Ground Water Forum is a
group of ground water scientists
that support the Superfund and
RCRA programs in each of the ten
EPA Regional offices. The group
was organized to exchange up-to-
date information related to ground
water remediation issues at
contaminated sites. Additional
participants come from the EPA
Laboratory System, EPA Head-
quarters, and states.
The Forum promotes communica-
tion between the Regions and the
Laboratories and has three primary
purposes:
1. To bring current state-of-the-
science to each regional office
as it is developed through the
research efforts at the labs
2. To focus laboratory resources
on research areas important to
the ground water scientists
working in each EPA Region
3. To maintain consistency in the
interpretation of guidance and
application of policy throughout
the country.
Our Expertise
The Forum is a technical resource for re-
medial project managers, and develops
technical transfer papers and training.
