I .— today's marketplace, many consumers look for products and services
I I that use fewer natural resources, reduce greenhouse gases (GHG),
and create less of an environmental impact. As a WasteWise partner,
your organization can greatly reduce its climate footprint through waste
prevention, recycling, and buying or manufacturing recycled products.
These activities conserve natural resources and reduce the energy needed
to obtain and process materials used to manufacture new products.
But how do you quantify the benefits of your actions to ensure you are truly
making a difference? WasteWise Re-TRAC.
What is WasteWise Re-TRAC?
WasteWise Re-TRAC is a data management and reporting system to track your
organization's waste generation and reduction activities and is free to WasteWise
partners. Regardless of the number of facilities you have, WasteWise Re-TRAC
enables you to track and standardize waste management data for your entire
operation. Here's how it works.
What you do:
• Register as a WasteWise partner at www.epa.gov/wastewise.
• Collect data on your current waste-related activities - generation, prevention,
recycling and composting, buying/manufacturing recycled-content products.
• Enter your data into WasteWise Re-TRAC. The system allows you to enter data
daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly, depending on your preference.
Track and manage your data by running customized reports for your
organization.
