On October 6, 2009, EPA recognized 37 SmartWay Partners as recipients of the 2009 SmartWay Excellence
Award. These freight industry leaders have made significant contributions to protecting the environment
through their participation in the SmartWay Partnership. Awards were conferred at the American Trucking

agement Professionals (CSCMP),will host the 2O1O
SmartWay Excellence Award ceremony during their
annual conference next September in San Diego,
California.
CSCMP has actively supported the SmartWay Pro-
gram over the years, serving as host of the 2OO7 and
2OO8 SmartWay Excellence Award ceremonies.
On September 21,2OO9, the U.S. EPA presented
an appreciation plaque to the CSCMP Board of Directors
for its ongoing efforts in greening the supply chain.
