Miscellaneous Uses of Carbonate

Monitoring Checklist

Final Rule: Mandatory Reporting of Greenhouse Gases

What Must Be Monitored?

Measure these parameters on a monthly basis at the facility level...

If using the emission factor method:

n Mass of each carbonate consumed Q Calcination fraction achieved for each
(tons) carbonate, measured annually or default
                                               value of 1.0 (decimal fraction)

If using the mass balance method:

n Mass of each input carbonate (tons) Q Mass of each output carbonate (tons)
