THE PURPOSE OF THIS MEETING IS TO:

       Meet other EPA and federal urban river partners;
       Facilitate the communication, coordination, and resolution of issues related to urban river sites
       and watersheds;
       Share innovative approaches;
       Foster consistency in decision-making; and
       Promote land re vitalization and community outreach efforts .

AGENDA TOPICS

Here are just a few of the topics planned on our 2-day agenda, which will start at 1 pm on Tuesday, June 22nd, and
end around 5 pm on, Wednesday June 23rd. EPA employees are encouraged to attend the EPA-only internal planning
session, which will start at 10 am on Tuesday, June 22nd.
•      The Passaic River: Coordinating Multiple Federal and Private Stakeholders
       Technical and Logistical Issues in Collecting and Coordinating Watershed-Level Data Sets: Examples
       Using the Anacostia and Elizabeth Rivers
•      What is WRDA: The Water Resources Development Act Process and How Can it Work for You
       Defining  Success for an Urban River Watershed
•      Tour of City Creek Pilot

REGISTRATION

Registration for the meeting will begin on Monday, May 24. To register, please visit www.trainex.org  and select "by
Course Title" under Current Training on the left-hand menu. This will take you to an alphabetical list, from which you
should select "Urban Rivers Forum Meeting." Please take time to enter your address and the other information re-
quested. Registration is password protected, and the password is RIVERS. If you have any problems  with registration

tion fee to attend this event.

The Urban Rivers  Forum Meeting will be held at the:

Hotel rooms are being reserved at the Sheraton City Centre for $80 per night (federal government rate),  plus 11.2%
state and local taxes. To make your reservation, please call (888) 625-5144. You must guarantee your reservation with
a credit card. To get the $80 room rate,  please inform the reservations  desk that you are with the Urban Rivers
Forum. The cutoff date for reservations at this rate is June 4. 2004. Any reservations made after this date will be
accepted on a "space available" basis. Our room block is good for the  nights of Monday, June 21, through Wednes-
day, June 23, with check out on Thursday, June 24. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time  is 12  pm.
If you decide not to attend the meeting, please cancel your reservation  by 6 pm the  day prior to the date of your
scheduled arrival.  Otherwise, the hotel will charge you for one night's  stay.

EPA's policy is to make reasonable accommodation to persons with disabilities
wishing to participate in the Agency's programs and activities, pursuant to the
Rehabilitation Act of 1979, 29 USC 791. Any request for accommodation should
be made to the specified registration contact, preferably one month in advance of
the registration deadline, so that EPA will have sufficient time to process the

Getting to the Hotel: Shuttle, taxi and rental car services are available from the
Salt Lake City International Airport. There is a Ground Transportation Desk
located at the far end of baggage claim in both terminals where ground transpor-
tation options and information can be obtained.
Airport Shuttle Service: A complimentary shuttle service to and from the Salt Lake City
International Airport is available from 6:00 am to 11:30 pm daily. This shuttle departs the airport
approximately every half hour.
Taxis: Taxi fares to the hotel range from $10-$15.
Rental Cars: Most major rental car agencies (including Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz,
and National) are located on the ground floor of the short-term parking garage directly across from the terminal
buildings.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From Ogden: From 1-15 South, exit onto 600 South. Proceed east to West Temple. Turn left onto West Temple
and proceed to 500 South. Turn left onto 500 South, and the hotel will be on the right.
From Park City: Travel west on 1-80 to 1-15 North. Exit 1-15 North onto 600 South. Proceed to West Temple and
turn left. Turn left onto 500 South. The hotel will be on the right.
From Provo: From 1-15 North, exit onto 600 South. Proceed to West Temple, and turn left. Turn left onto 500
South. The hotel will be on the right.
From Tooele and Airport: From 1-80 East, exit at North Temple. Proceed to 1-15 South. From 1-15 South, exit at
600 South. Proceed to West Temple, and turn left. Turn left onto 500 South. The hotel will be on the right.
Parking: Parking is available to hotel guests at a cost of $4 per day for day parking before 5 pm, $6 for overnight
and evening parking after 5 pm, and $9 per day for valet parking.
