                  EPA Seeks Comment on Proposed
                  Protective Tailpipe Standards and
                  Reduced Sulfur in Gasoline
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing a major
program to significantly reduce emissions from cars, sport utility
vehicles, minivans and pickup trucks. We are also proposing to reduce
sulfur in gasoline to ensure the effectiveness of low emission control
technologies in vehicles and reduce harmful air pollution. EPA is
seeking input from interested parties on these proposed standards.
