ERA'S VISION FOR LIBRARY SERVICES
EPA's vision for its Library Network is
to be an essential information partner
with EPA staff and the public to support
          decision making, environmental
        awareness, and protection of human
health and the environment. The EPA
      National Library Network supports EPA
staff and the public by providing timely
      and accurate information in appropriate
formats at the point of need.

ABOUT THE NETWORK
The EPA National Library Network, established in 1971,
is composed of libraries in the Agency's Headquarters,
regional and field offices, research centers, and specialized
laboratories located throughout the country. It provides
a range of electronic resources and services to support
access to environmental information for patrons.
The EPA National Library Network program
provides leadership and direction to EPA libraries.
The program provides support to the EPA libraries
by facilitating communications, networking and
resource sharing, and by providing technical
assistance on all aspects of library management.
The program ensures the libraries have access
to the resources and information they need to
effectively support the Agency's mission.
