How the CBWR Tool Can Help You
EPA's CBWR Tool provides communities with the resources
necessary for building resiliency to water service interrup-
tions. Users of this tool will learn more about interdependen-
cies between water and other critical community services and
find out how to integrate drinking water and wastewater utili-
ties into preparedness efforts.

Hosting a water emergency roundtable in your community is the first step in preparing for a
water emergency. The Water Resiliency Action Plan (WRAP) Kit shows how to plan:
• An informal discussion that brings together stakeholders in the community to discuss their
community's goals. challenges, roles and responsibilities in water emergency
preparedness

After completing the self-assessment many users
may want to conduct a meeting with other stake-
holders to address issues identified during the as-
sessment process. The Water Resiliency Action
Plan Kit (WRAP Kit) helps individuals plan and
host a roundtable discussion on water resiliency.
The WRAP Kit includes sample materials and
information, including: invitations, agendas and
recruitment lists, as well as scripts, presentations
and forms for use during the meeting.
4. CBWR Toolbox
To gain access to over 400 tools and resources, visit the CBWR Toolbox. This toolbox separates useful
information according to stakeholder group and organizational topic. In some cases, materials are also
categorized according to the size or characteristics of a community that is most likely to benefit from the
tool. Available resources include webinars, presentations, case studies, professional training courses in
the Incident Command System and the National Incident Management System and much more. These
resources provide you with a wealth of information to prepare your community for a water service dis-
