                         The Partnership Begins
                         Koch was in the early stages of a complete company initiative to reduce fuel
                         consumption and carbon emissions when the SmartWay Transport Partnership
                         program was initiated. In 2003 Koch Companies embarked on a two year
                         initiative to outfit our entire fleet with auxiliary power units to virtually eliminate
                         idling. We jumped on-board the SmartWay program  immediately and have
                         consistently scored among the best in the industry.
