Long Term 2 Enhanced Surface Water Treatment Rule

The following list of laboratories may be used by public water systems (PWSs) complying with the Long Term 2 Enhanced Surface
Water Treatment Rule. This list generally will be updated with additions and deletions quarterly. Please use the links below to
access State websites for the laboratory's current certification status and contact information. PWSs should be aware that their
States may establish requirements that are more stringent than EPA's regulations; State requirements would take precedence.

1 On March 29, 2016, Pennsylvania's Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP) suspended its accreditation of Analytical
Services, Inc. (see Suspension Notice for the announcement). New Hampshire's Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program
(NH ELAP), the entity that originally assessed and accredited ASI, and whose assessment was the basis for PA DEP's secondary
accreditation, has since been evaluating the situation with technical assistance from U.S. EPA. In April and May 2016, NH ELAP led
on-site audits of ASI and identified required corrective actions in a report issued to the laboratory in late June 2016. ASI currently
remains accredited by NH ELAP while they develop and implement corrective actions (to be documented during July 2016). Updates
will follow as further information becomes available.

2 On July 3, 2015, the Puerto Rico Department of Health downgraded the certification status of the Caguas Central Cryptosporidium
Laboratory of Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewers Authority (PRASA) to Provisionally Certified. PRASA's laboratory must notify
consumers of their Provisionally Certified status on all data reports. A provisionally certified laboratory has deficiencies but
demonstrates its ability to consistently produce valid data.
