Notes to Federal and State RVP Standards
* Indicates change or proposed change in federal standard not yet federally approved.
** State run program with federally-approved State Implementation Plan (SIP).
*** Indicates there are counties or areas in counties in the state which have reformulated gasoline
(RFG) requirements. See EPA's "List of Federal Reformulated Gasoline Program Areas," April
1999. RFG areas must meet a VOC emissions performance reduction standard per 40 CFR 80.41.
Denver/Boulder requested waiver of 7.8 psi RVP for summer 2001. EPA expects to approve it.
CMSA counties include: Adams (partial), Arapahoe (partial), Boulder (partial), Denver, Douglas, and
Jefferson.
KS: Current (March 2001) state-run program in federally-approved SIP is 7.2 psi standard. State
has proposed to change this to 7.0 psi for the 2001 ozone season, but has not yet (as of March 2001)
adopted the amended regulation.
MO: Current (March 2001) state-run program in federally-approved SIP is 7.2 psi standard.
State has adopted an amended regulation changing this to 7.0 psi for the 2001 ozone season, but
amended regulation is not yet (as of March 2001) effective under state law.
Eastern Texas Counties include: Anderson, Angelina, Aransas, Atascosa, Austin, Bastrop, Bee,
Bell, Bexar, Bosque, Bowie, Brazos, Burleson, Caldwell, Calhoun, Camp, Cass, Cherokee, Colorado,
