NIOSH offers the following suggested changes (in red) to Supplemental Information,
Appendix A, page A-2.
Recommended Exposure Limit (REL)—1.5 mg/m3 TWA for up to a 10-hr workday during a
40-hr workweek, short-term (15-minute) limit 3 mg/m3
Basis: agreed with OSHA proposed permissible exposure limit (PEL) in 1988 PEL Hearings
Skin designation indicates potential for dermal absorption
Basis: agreed with OSHA proposal for skin notation in 1988 PEL Hearings
OSHA is the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
