DESIGNED TO EARN THE ENERGY STAR The estimated energy performance for this design meets US EPA criteria. The building will be eligible for ENERGY STAR after maintaining superior performance for one year. The Kerry Centre is a 260,000 SF facility being built on a 124 acre parcel in Beloit, Wisconsin at a construction cost of $65 million. The facility will serve as the corporate headquarters for Kerry Americas, and will also establish a center of excellence to help customers gain access to many of Kerry's technologies. The center of excellence will be dedicated to the development and application of Kerry ingredients and beverage solutions. The building contains various developmental laboratories and Pilot Plant facilities to enable this research. The customer experience is an important part of the design. Kerry Americas Center of Excellence • Energy Use Intensity (EUI) = 228.2 kBtu/sf/yr • Percent C02 reduction = 27% • ENERGY STAR design rating = 76 Annual Savings Statistics (compared to an average building EPA rating of 50) • Energy savings = 14,592,261 kBtu • C02 savings = 1,177.7 tons C02 Energy Reduction Strategies • Reduced building footprint • Reflective White Roof • Daylight Harvesting • Lighting Density of 0.8 w/sf • Energy Recovery Units for labs and pilot plant • Variable Volume Exhaust in labs HGA Architects and Engineers Kerry America's Centre of Excellence Beloit, Wisconsin Mllliltl ------- |
