final rule that provided an exemption from
CERCLA and EPCRA notification requirements for
air releases of hazardous substances from animal
waste at farms (73 FR 76948).
This fact sheet explains how EPA, in
collaboration with the Lawrence Economic
Development Corporation (LEDC) and local
governments, has provided support for the
redevelopment of the South Point Superfund
Site located in South Point, Ohio.

EPA delayed by sixty days the effective
date of the final rule that amends the Spill
Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure
(SPCC) regulations. The effective date of
this rulemaking is February 3, 2009. The
effective date of the SPCC amendments,
published in the Federal Register on
December 5, 2008, is April 4, 2009.
Comments must be received by March 5,
2009.
