Act (EPCRA) and emergency planning in
general. It also provides new information
related to the implementation of EPCRA and
the Risk Management Program and
suggestions for future actions.
This fact sheet explains how through close
collaboration with the community and local
stakeholders, EPA is helping to support the
remediation and reuse of the 31-acre
Woolfolk Chemical Works site in Fort
Valley, Georgia. A new library and tourist
information center are already in use on a
portion of the site, and plans for further
redevelopment include a multi-jurisdictional
record storing facility and a new building for
nearby Fort Valley University.

Agency proposed to formally remove a
paragraph of guidance regarding releases
due to natural weathering of products that
appeared in the Reporting Forms and

EPA proposed an interpretation of how the
articles exemption applies to the wood
treating industry, specifically to releases
