southwestern Colorado Anvil Mountain Site
pilot program and how it has redeveloped
the mine-scarred Brownfield site. The
phased development includes as many as 49
units of housing constructed with the dual
goals of 1) providing affordable and low-
income attainable housing, and 2)
integrating green and sustainable design and
construction concepts into the project.

proposed Record of Decision (ROD)

remedy that had been previously selected in
the ROD, and the sediment portion of the

This fact sheet explains how EPA supported
redevelopment of the 22-acre Whitmoyer
Laboratories Superfund Site in Jackson
Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania,
into the Jackson Recreation Park. The new
park, available to local schools and the
community, includes baseball and soccer
fields and extensive tree-lined walking trails.
This memorandum supplements OSWER

EPA corrected minor technical errors in the
June 16, 2009 final rule that revised
regulations to include state response
