Overview of New Features
The AIRNow-Tech website has been improved to increase efficiency and provide additional features for users. This fact
sheet serves as a reference for the primary changes and additions deployed in September 2012. Please note that many of
these improvements were made possible by the additional information available via the new data submittal file-type,
AQCSV. Additional fact sheets and tutorial videos are available on the Resources page of the AirNow-Tech website.
Navigator
Improvements to
Navigator include much
faster response times,
additional base layers
and external overlays,
the option to save and
access custom maps,
and collapsible menus.
More details are
available in the Navigator
fact sheet available on
the Resources page.

Site Details
The AQCSV file format now allows agencies to
send more than one instance of a parameter type
per monitoring site by allowing multiple parameter
occurrence codes (POCs) and additional parameter
codes (e.g., 88501, 88502, etc.). The Edit Sites
page for each monitoring site has a new feature
called Principal Parameter. For each parameter
type at a monitoring site, a Principal Parameter
must be selected for use in legacy products, such
as maps and text files. The Principal Parameters
are denoted by the star icons (see example at left).
In this example, both 03 and PM10 are reported
under two POCs; therefore, a Principal Parameter
has been assigned for each parameter type.
In addition, parameters that are approved for public
reporting have Public Parameter icons that look like
people.
