Sampling Plan) Course to be held free of charge in the
EPA offices in Boston, MA on July 22-25, 2008. VSP is
a software tool for determining the right number and
iocations of samples and performing statistical
assessments to support confident decisions. Because
this course is sponsored by EPA, priority will be given to
their staff, contractors or affiliated regulators. To

Green Remediation Primer
The new Green Remediation Primer, a publication from
EPA's Brownfields and Land Revitalization Technology
Support Center (BTSC), is now available electronically at
this web site. More info about EPA's BTSC can be
found here.
Green remediation is the practice of considering all
environmental effects of cleanup actions and
incorporating strategies to maximize the net
environmental effects of those actions. The sustainable
practices emphasize the need to more closely evaluate
core elements of a cleanup project such as energy
requirements and air emissions.

and UMass Amherst will co-
host the International
Conference and Training on
p\\ "Triad Investigations: New
Approaches and Innovative
'	Strategies". The three days
will feature conference
presentations, Triad training sessions, specialized
workshops, interactive tool room, field equipment
demonstrations, exhibitor halls, poster sessions, and an

NH Brownfields and Green Concepts Workshop
The NADO Research Foundation and the US
Environmental Protection Agency cordially invite you to
attend a workshop designed to help communities and
everyday citizens understand what they can do to build a
more sustainable economy within their regions. The
workshop will be July 15-16, 2008 at the Marriott
Courtyard (Near I-93) in Concord, NH, The highlighted
speakers include:
-	Carol Tucker, Section Chief, EPA New England;
-	Charlie Bartsch, Vice President, ICF International; and
-	Andrew Perchlik, Executive Director, Renewable
Energy Vermont.
Who Should Attend: All are welcome, but the agenda is

businesses, community developers, environmental
professionals, state representatives, students, economic
developers, and non-profit organizations.

availability) for numerous grant
programs including $142 million
for Healthy Homes and Lead
Hazard Control Programs.
