Pre-registration is requested, please email or call (978) 534-0379 to register, or for more information. 1 of 2 ------- Maine DEP - Fluorescent Light Bulb Info Maine DEP is releasing a study that examines the impact of mercury levels in a home resulting from breaking a compact fluorescent light (CFL). EPA and the states strongly encourage the proper disposal and recycling of CFLs at the end of their useful life. In fact, state laws in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont prohibit disposal of mercury-containing bulbs in the trash. Click for More Info. Massachusetts Smart Growth/Smart Energy Toolkit The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has published a new version of its Smart Growth/Smart Energy Toolkit. It is available online, or a disk can be mailed to you. One of the new features of this version of the toolkit is a module on Brownfields redevelopment.
