LID for Big Box Sites
Here's a good document that was produced by the Low
Impact Development Center as guidance specifically for
big-box retailers to show them (and jurisdictions that
work with them) how they can use LID to make their
sites more water-friendly. The LID Center partnered with
Target Corporation in developing the document. You
can see the document on the UP Center's website .
Environmental Justice (EJ) is the fair treatment and
meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race,
color, national origin, or income with respect to the
development, implementation, and enforcement of
environmental laws, regulations, and policies. Learn
more at EPA New England's EJ Website, and find out
how to receive a newsletter at EJ News.

about Green Jobs. If you are interested in talking about
sustainability and green jobs in an informal, non-
technical setting, come join the NEXUS drop-in
discussion group in Boston on May 22, 2008. You can
view an info sheet about this. Or, check here to see

Nuts & Bolts of Redeveloping Brownfields
This training course addresses the issues and obstacles
faced by Local Governments in redeveloping
contaminated properties for productive reuse. Dates are
July 21-25, 2008. Being held for the 4th consecutive
year in Kansas City, Missouri, participants learn how
many communities have overcome obstacles and
stimulated successful redevelopment by characterizing
and assembling parcels, cleaning up sites, and using
public and private funds to attract redevelopment.
The course fee is $395 per participant, which includes a
continental breakfast and lunch. Rooms are separate.
Registration is now open and available on-line at this
website.
